This Christmas my boyfriend and I had the chance to celebrate in Deauville at Le Normandy one of the three grand Groupe Barriere hotels in the city.

My first Deauville experience, and what better place than staying where Coco Chanel opened her best boutique more than 100 years ago!

We stayed in a Prestige Room, a beautiful sea view room that has the most exquisite toile de jouy fabric walls, the 271 rooms have been decorated by Nathalie Ryan the former Dior boutiques designer who is also being the La Suite Dior at Le Majestic in Cannes.

The rooms comes in 6 different colours ( see them all here), when I came in that room I felt like I was going back in the time and of course started to plan in my head where to shoot my looks ( blogger's life ...) and take the best photographs to share with you my experience but I can tell you no pictures will make justice to how beautiful is that hotel.

Luckily I packed that JW Anderson dress that perfectly matched the room's wall fabric!

What can I say about that uber cool bathroom, after unpacking my suitcases I disappeared here for hours, having long baths using the Diane Barriere range which I have not heard about before but offer amazing products.

The shower has the clever button technology, that is the first time I see that in a hotel, you can choose  between bath or shower jet just by pressing the corresponding button, no more fights with the shower head!

Shall we talk about the beauty of these corridors? I could totally wear a dress made of those carpets!

The doomed lobby was perfectly decorated with micro sized Christmas tree and dancing polar bears. I am now 28 but still enchanted by those kind of things like many of the children who were celebrating there.

We experienced the dinner at La Belle Epoque, a light filled brasserie style restaurant who offers the perfect mixed between French food and more healthy options for people doing the cures at the Spa.

No need to say we did not opted for the healthy options ...

Those were the most delicious truffled Mac and Cheese I ever tasted in my whole life, this is a Must Have if have the chance to diner at La Belle Epoque.

My fiance went for the Rib Eye with fries, and all those amazing dishes of course, accompanied with some Red wine!

Last but not least, the Normandy offers luxury spa experience by Diane Barriere for regeneration, detox and well being as well as some Yoga and Meditation classes.

I did not have time to experience the Spa but will definitely go next time I visit Le Normandy.

The Hotel also has its own private Normandy style decorated pool, with an all year long 29 degrees temperature.

My fiance and I had an amazing time, even if I could have stayed there for much longer. Will definitely go back near summer time to enjoy a totally different experience and maybe enjoy a swim at the beach!

Le Normandy is the perfect get away if you are tired of Paris and need a break, you will totally forget the stress of the big city in less than 2 hours drive.
